Part 1: Harnessing the Potential of Confluent Cloud: Clusters, Keys, and Clients

Participants will explore various cluster types—Basic, Standard, Enterprise, and Dedicated—and their unique properties. The session also covers setting up user and service accounts, creating API keys, and securing access to resources. Through hands-on labs, attendees will gain practical experience in creating clusters, configuring client properties, and using the Confluent CLI to produce and consume messages.

Part 2:Â Securing and Scaling with Confluent Cloud: ACLs, RBAC, and Connectors
This session dives into advanced authorization strategies in Confluent Cloud, with a focus on Access Control Lists (ACLs) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Participants will learn how to secure clusters and resources effectively while exploring the process of upgrading clusters for RBAC functionality. The session also introduces managed connectors, guiding participants through setting up and configuring connectors like Datagen. Practical labs reinforce the concepts, preparing attendees for real-world applications.
